To safeguard the interest of the poorer section of community the delivery package for people living below poverty level has been slashed down from 01.11.2005. Attempts are there to have freer IOL surgery for people who cannot afford to pay even slashed down price. For such a venture the Trust needs a lot of support. We wish and desire and benevolent gesture of all concerned to keep the Seva Pratisthan running on its own strength.
Special Information: The Eye Care Unit named after late Tarakeswar Chakraborti, former General Secretary of All India Bank Employees’ Association. Shri Chakraborti was moved by our activities for the poor, became a Trustee and after his death the Eye Care Unit has been dedicated to the fond memory of late Tarakeswar Chakraborti. Received unqualified support from senior officials of State Bank of India, many of them also visited our Seva Pratisthan.
Solar Light: Tata Solar BP India Ltd. donated 8 room solar lights at our Rural Eye Care Unit as electricity failure is very common in rural areas. We added more Solar Street Lights (11 Nos.) to keep the hospital compound illuminated.
Generator: IO KVA Generation (Diesel) Power Unit donated by Employees/ Officers of State Bank of India, Purulia Branch.
State Bank of Hyderabad donated one 30 KVA Generator (Disel) for the running of the hospital as a whole.
Drinking Water Supply Scheme: Govt. of West Bengal, PHE Deptt. While made a mini water supply scheme for Gobrapota Nadia Village also extended the facility to our Hospital’s need. Trust Donated 2 pieces of land for the water supply scheme for the villagers.
Internal Road : Internal Road of the Hospital was developed at the instance of Hon’ble Minister of P.W.D., Govt. of W.B.
M.P. LAD Sanction…. : Shri Satyabrata Mookherjee, the then MP and Hon’ble MOS Govt. of India, donated Rs. 3 lacs only from his MP Quota and old building could be built up upto Lintel level Of 1st floor. Remaining portion could be completed by donations of the Trade Unions Namely State Bank of India Staff Association, New Delhi & State Bank of India Staff Officer’s Union, West Bengal. Smt Jyotirmoyee Sikdar, MP & Sri Subinoy Ghosh, MLA also have come forward and donated Rs. 1.5 Lac each towards the construction cost of incomplete portion of Suvendu Memorial Seva Pratisthan in 1st Floor.
Sri Sayeed Ahamed Malihabadi, MP (Rajya Sabha) donated Rs. 13 lacs in two installments towards the cost of construction of Canteen Building. This building was inaugurated by Sri Aboni Mohan Joarder, MLA on 15th April, 2013 in presence of DIG, BSF, Krishnagar (HQ) and Additional District Magistrate (Zilla Parishad).
Sri H. K. Dua, Padmabhusan and Hon’ble Member of Rajya Sabha donated Rs. 10 lacs towards the cost of construction of Operation Theatre of General Surgery Department.

Sankareswar Datta, the Managing Trustee of the Suvendu Memorial Trust donated his life savings in the form of Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity etc to the Trust.
